Último Helecho

National premiere | Co-produced by Oriente Occidente

Último Helecho, Nina Laisné, François Chaignaud, Nadia Larcher | ph Nina Laisné

François Chaignaud returns to Oriente Occidente with a hypnotic ritual between South American mythologies and Baroque influences, this time in collaboration with director Nina Laisné. Joining Chaignaud on stage is Nadia Larcher, a prominent singer, composer, and author from the folk and experimental music scene of Buenos Aires. Both bodies and voices merge in a sensual and ritualistic dialogue. Eight musicians craft a vibrant soundscape, giving voice to lesser-known European repertoires and interweaving them with the tradition of Argentina, revealing the poetic and resilient power of popular traditions.
