Two dancers move through different emotional states on stage and in doing so convey the complexity of existence. Their gestures reveal a sense of intimacy and vulnerability, defying conventions about masculinity. Their bodies are mirror-like but divergent and embody conflicts and harmonies, just as Frida Kahlo was able to unite in her body and in her art darkness and light, spirit and matter. The inspiration comes from The Two Fridas, a representation of the multitude each of us contains.
One glimpses a very interior listening of the body, which is externalised by the evocative movements of the two performers, decisive and, at times, even ironic in a multifaceted immersion in the poetics of Frida Kahlo in order to enhance the complexity of the human essence.
