Linguaggi 2024

As every year, the artistic programming of Oriente Occidente – staged in Rovereto from August 30 to September 7 – is accompanied by Linguaggi, the series of conferences and talks that enriches the cultural proposal and addresses the same themes explored on the theater stages in a more in-depth manner.

Linguaggi also focuses on relationships, and the choice has been one of method, as well as content. The proposal is indeed structured around seven appointments in the form of dialogue between two or more guests, who can bring different experiences and viewpoints, ensuring, once again, that plural perspective on matters, cultivating that necessity for relationship that seems more urgent than ever and which represents the common thread of the entire 44th edition of the Festival.

In a world that today finds itself needing to constantly redefine its identity, between old powers becoming less central and emerging peripheries becoming less marginal, there is a sense of urgency for constructive dialogues, which, starting from the common desire to find new ways to inhabit the world and the interconnections that determine it, call into question the meanings of center and periphery, reflecting on how these words change, clearing the view of prejudices.
