Cult of Magic

D.Arte: Habitat - cruising intermediale, Cult of Magic | ph Giulia Lenzi

Collective working in the fields of performance, music, and contemporary dance. Cult of Magic was founded in Milan in 2017 by composer Francesco Sacco and choreographers and dancers Samira Cogliandro and Giada Vailati.

The collective currently includes the three founding members together with Luca Pasquino, a composer, art director, and product designer. The group’s work focuses on creating performances and contemporary dance pieces, as well as collaborations with architecture and design studios, museums, and cultural institutions, including Triennale Milano, Museo Novecento in Florence, Palazzo Te, and La Biennale di Venezia.

HABITAT – cruising intermediale explores the latent desire experienced within the exhibition space: through an audio guide, the audience is invited to move and interact with the museum in unconventional ways. Visitors are physically engaged, breaking away from passive contemplation to become active participants in the experience.

The project is the winner of the D.Arte 2025/2026 open call, launched by Oriente Occidente in collaboration with Mart – Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto, aimed at exploring the dialogue between choreography and visual arts within museum spaces.
