Is there a certain border of the Mediterranean? The question has always been topical and the answers are many. Among those most striking and investigated even by recent critics is the production of architecture with “Mediterranean” signs and forms, traceable both in the works of Finns, such as Aalto or Asplund, and those of Le Corbusier or Libera. The observer is faced with the question of how, in the construction of the modern landscape, the myth of the Mediterranean has contributed to - and follows. A fascinating “blue thread” winds between Alpine and Mediterranean masters, describing an itinerary between architecture and landscape of great suggestion and expressive force, in search of a common matrix between different histories and geographies.
