Il paesaggio in movimento

By its very nature, Futuro Presente never stops. The Permanent Laboratory on Contemporary Languages chooses a theme or an idea and investigates them using the most varied contributions: shows, exhibitions, meetings, concerts, debates, in a continuous dialogue between art, dance, literature, science, essays, journalism, cinema, photography, writing and their interpreters. It then moves on those same territories like the tides, returning to them each time with a different water.

So the autumn focus gathered around the title A certain idea of landscape was decided to give continuity to The landscape in movement and to dissolve in that water what directors, authors, architects have to say.

The landscape changes. It changes over time for natural or artificial causes. But it also changes in the way in which man observes and dreams it. The gaze that rests on it is so important that sometimes a landscape exists only for this. The ability to observe its changes becomes not only a photograph of reality but also a thought on what we are about to build or the road on which we are venturing. For this reason, a reflection on the landscape could not ignore a series of questions and discoveries that emerge in the most unexpected and, sometimes, minimal moments. Is it inspiration? Creativity? The anticipation of a rational thought?
