There was a period in Italy and in the Trentino region, in the years from 1920 onwards, when the aspiration to build a modern way to civilisation coincided with important presences on the national scene of great architects and consequent important architecture. This production generated a landscape of modernity, made up of buildings of architectural value and pieces of urban landscape with strong aesthetic value and quality. In Trentino, this season coincided with the intense participation of leading figures such as Adalberto Libera, Luciano Baldessari, Angiolo Mazzoni, Gino Pollini, and then Fortunato Depero, Mario Sandonà and a host of artists who, by dialoguing and illustrating the aspiration of modernism, constructed a culture and a real and visual landscape rich in original and distinctive elements. A heritage to be rediscovered and enhanced.
