Masterclass Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui: Repertory Fractus V

In the first part we will start heating the body with the breathing and the physicality of the body in movement, working the movement from a scale of 0 to 10, to continue investigating and using different ways of using the floor.
We will continue the work on the qualities of the movement, to know the limits of the body and to be able to express actions reaching different states.
In a second part, we will work with different materials from Fractus V (floor, tutting, hips, body percussion, fighting) and after we will continue training with guidelines applied to the materials that I have given previously, in order to be able to develop even more the quality of the movement, navigating through different states, both corporal and mental.
During the whole process of the workshop we will work to be able to dialogue between us, creating a space for sensations.
The workshop will be conducted in English.
Dancer and choreographer was born in 1981 in the South of France where he began his first dance steps at age seven, in San Juan de Luz (France). In 1999, driven by his passion, he continued his training at the Royal Professional Conservatory of Dance Madrid until 2004, to be a graduate in Spanish and Flamenco Dance.
He continues his career integrated in the best flamenco companies in the country and working with choreographers such as Joaquín Cortés, Rafael Amargo and Lola Greco.
In addition to his talent as a dancer and performer, Fabian begins to create his own choreographies, howing his own style. In 2006, he premiered his first show at the Andalusian Festival of Saint Jean de Luz.
In 2012, Franco Dragone invites Fabian to participate as a choreographer and dancer in his latest production TABOO in Macau. In 2013, back in Europe, Fabian has the opportunity to work with Black Box Company, Jean Philippe Dury, Sharon Fridman and Carlos Fuentes.
In June 2015 it has joined the new production directed and choreographed by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Fractus V. Since then participates in several projects from Eastman Productions: shows, operas, workshop.
In parallel, it follows its creation process: UMBRA, In Volution and YöY.
