In 1958 four Seattle women organized a 3200-mile trip to visit the great national parks of Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Oregon and explore the landscapes of the northwestern part of the United States. Along the way they collected materials and photographs that they included in a rich travel album, found a few years ago by Matt McCormick in a thrift store. Fifty years later, the American filmmaker has retraced the same journey to see how the landscape of that region has changed over the decades. This is a lyrical documentary, capable of revealing with precision and elegance the evolution of the natural and cultural environment of the American Northwest.
