Screensaver Series

National premiere

Screensaver Series, J Neve Harrington | ph Roswitha Chesher

An installation combining dance and sound: Screensaver Series. The movement of the five performers is continuous, synchronized with Jamie Forth's music. The patterns created by their bodies, constantly intertwining, resemble the perpetual activity of a screensaver—ever-changing images, like a kaleidoscope that merges colours in endless new ways. You're invited to participate in whatever way feels most comfortable: walking, sitting, or standing. From different angles, the work takes on new forms—an enchanting and hypnotic weave of shifting patterns that evoke both natural and technological imagery.

[...] the vivid, floral-patterned geometric prints; the variety of the cast; the potentially limitless possibilities for movement; and the energy generated by the gestures that resonate in sound, envelop the body and shock the mind.
