May B
Dance reveals the absurd mystery of the human condition in the world. An iconic work that delves deep into the roots of movement. Bodies suspended between stillness and the urge to move.
Inspired by the world of Samuel Beckett, May B presents grotesque, fragile, and obstinate figures who, amid hesitations and slips, enact a movement that resists and insists on enduring within the thin void of waiting. A political manifesto born of stillness, where simply being present becomes a radical act.
Followed by a Q&A with the choreographer in conversation with Marilù Buzzi, director of Danza&Danza.
These images of endurance are filled not only with Beckettian bleakness but also a delicate, humane hope. Marin has conjured her own poetry from Beckett’s world. Beautiful.
