Épiphytes

National premiere

Épiphytes, Cie des Chaussons Rouges | ph Antoine Fontaine

Epiphytes are plants that grow on trees, climbing and intertwining without causing damage or taking nutrients. Instead, they find a form of support and proximity. The inspiration comes from a cloud forest, a tropical environment often shrouded in mist: a timeless, vibrant space, a dreamlike forest of silent encounters and non-verbal communication. The trees are reimagined as a metal structure that seems to emerge from a cloud, a sculpture where acrobats and tightrope walkers orchestrate their bodies in movement, breathing life into it through the art of the circus.

[...] a captivating show that combines balance, acrobatics and tightrope walking. [...] a parenthesis of sweetness and fascination [...]. A very beautiful show, which gives the impression of a bubble of tranquillity.
