The competition for the replacement of the Malga Fosse - in Trentino - with a new building, that of Abitare Minimo among the Alps, the new refuges in Piedmont and other similar experiences pose the delicate question of how to intervene today, with the language of contemporary architecture, in contexts of great sensitivity such as alpine landscapes. There is an ongoing debate-which has always existed between conservators of the state of places and nostalgia for the past and advocates of contemporary signs-that invests the present and future natural landscape. The experience of architects who work and live in these realities, with a glance towards the international debate, is useful to understand both the state of the art and the prospects for development, supporting a necessary cultural contribution towards a balanced model of relations between architecture and landscape.
