The 44th edition of Oriente Occidente Dance Festival is approaching! Would you like to join our staff?

There are two opportunities: if you are at university and would like to gain some experience in the world of live performance you can apply for a curricular internship and join the production or communication office team during the Festival period.

If you want to invest more time in discovering the world of cultural events, the new call for Civil Service in the Province of Trento is online, with a six-month project starting in June 2024.

The Civil Service Project

Two open positions dedicated to young people aged between 18 and 28 who want to get involved in a field training project in our reality.

What do you do? Organisation and production of large events such as the Festival and small-medium events, organisation and management of community projects and artistic residencies, audience monitoring and impact measurement.

When? From 1 June 2024 until the end of November, approximately 30 hours per week.

The internship

You can apply for an internship in the communication office or in the production team and participate in the realisation of the Festival.

What do you do? The production assistant oversees all organisational activities for the staging of events: care and management of relations with artists and guest companies, audience management and monitoring, direct contact with international artists and performers and support in production work for national premieres and new co-productions.

In the communication office: updating the website, press review, drafting and sending newsletters, collaboration in the management of the Festival's social channels, infoline, distribution of printed materials, management of photo and video materials in the archives, drafting and editing texts, conducting and organising interviews.

What are the requirements?

  • excellent knowledge of written and spoken Italian

  • good command of the English language

  • good knowledge of the Office package

  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • aptitude for teamwork

  • dynamism and motivation

  • punctuality

  • familiarity in using the web

For the communications department, the following skills are considered preferential:

  • familiarity with Photoshop and Indesign

  • familiarity in the use of email marketing tools

When? The start of the placement and the total number of hours is adaptable and will be agreed with you based on your curricular needs. Indicatively for the production office the start is planned for the second half of August. For the communication office it is preferable to start as early as July.

Timetable: until 28 August 2024 from Monday to Friday, approximately 6 hours per day. From 29 August to 7 September 2024 8 hours per day. During the Festival, flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required, with subsequent recuperation for adequate rest.
