MOBILE ART | L'ARTE E' MOBILE – Oltre il conflitto

Futuro Presente, a permanent laboratory on contemporary languages, is constantly evolving. In an increasingly contaminated world, even the disciplines of knowledge and creativity no longer have certain boundaries. Indeed, it is precisely from the dialogue between the different creative languages that unexplored horizons and new ways of interpreting reality, society, and the present arise. Every year, Futuro Presente investigates themes and ideas (taking inspiration from trends, achievements, or personalities) through shows, exhibitions, meetings, concerts, and debates, in a dense dialogue between art, dance, literature, science, essays, journalism, cinema, photography, writing, and their interpreters. Precisely the typical tension in dealing with the hottest and most current topics has pushed the “Permanent Laboratory on Contemporary Languages” to deal with a concept extremely rich in symbols, connections, and implications that touch on history, knowledge, human beings, social relationships, visions of the future, and much more.

The theme identified for 2014 concerns the investigation of new forms of communication and consumption of products deriving from Mobile Art, an art that, using new visual technologies (including smartphones and tablets), boasts more and more followers in the world and has a global diffusion thanks to the communication channels offered by the Web, social networks, various online "warehouses" of images, which have allowed the creation in a very short time of a real network of relationships and comparisons on new expressive and artistic instances.

Mobile Art has developed in the last five years, first as a variant of Digital Art, then with peculiar characteristics and its own identity, allowing the creation, modification, transformation and/or re/creation of digital images with apps (small programs that allow instantaneous, or in any case very fast, processing of the shots) specifically created for this purpose. The wide panorama of events that will characterize the 2014 edition of Futuro Presente is centered on the theme "Beyond the conflict", a subject of dramatic and constant topicality and on which some artists of the vast international community belonging to Mobile Art will be called to confront themselves, with the elaboration of specific visual outputs.
