Studies on movement
Elena Giannotti
The study of the musculoskeletal system, through so-called experiential anatomy, is an essential addition to dance practices and for those working with movement. In particular, the focus on these systems provides an opportunity to explore space and relationship.
The proposed "studies on movement" practice combines a cognitive and conceptual understanding of anatomy and movement with direct experience in doing and feeling. Movement and listening exercises will invite exploration of the relationship between function and structure. The whole process is aimed at identifying different possibilities for accessing one's creative resources.
The workshop is part of the KNOWLEDGE section.
