The Choreography of Water
National premiere
Water flows, deviates, and moves on. It runs through bodies and waterways alike. Three performers inhabit a landscape of transparent sculptures, where water generates rhythm as it passes through. Water is inside and outside us; it sustains life. Tears and sweat make us human, currents shape our landscapes, and dance follows what flows through us. A living substance that connects body and planet, transforming every flow into a relationship.
From historic dance pandemics to microbiology, it seems no subject is too complex or challenging for the choreographer Simona Deaconescu and if there’s any fervor here, it’s for new creation and innovating the form.
