Against today’s political climate of a gentle thaw between the two Koreas, the internationally acclaimed South Korean choreographer and dancer Eun-Me Ahn launches an optimistic message of cultural and artistic sharing. Unable to cross the border to learn about the state of the art in the north of the country, she relies on the internet to find common roots and differences. Seduced by the quantity of videos of traditional fan dances and massive military parades in honour of the dictator, she composes a performance of pictures in an exhibition in which folklore, tradition and the latest trends burst out. Stunningly colourful and breathtaking.
