The profound experience in the TAAF, the French Sub-Antarctic Territories, of choreographer Paco Dècina does not end with the realization of the show La douceur perméable de la rosée. The vast magma of video, sound, and experiential materials generated by the long stay in that distant land has also become an exploratory-artistic journey for the rooms of the MUSE - Museum of Science in Trento. At the request of the artistic directors of Oriente Occidente, Paco Dècina will create an exclusive promenade installation-choreography for the Festival inside the MUSE - Museum of Science in Trento.
Seven stages mark the path. It begins with a large canvas and the dark, deep sea, along with its currents transferred via computer into a digital installation for three dancers. The journey continues with an auditory path of the underwater world, featuring projections of landscapes where the white shadow of the spectator, observing these unspoiled backgrounds, is integrated into the environment through software that captures their presence in real-time. Next, the installation of the green shadow (multiple traces left by those passing through the projected landscape in cycles) is presented, followed by the iconic sound installation titled Souvenirs de Caruso, and the atmospheres of the Planet, ultimately culminating in the documentary Carnet de Voyage, an intimate diary of the impressions collected and the scientific discoveries that intertwined in the choreographer's mind upon his arrival on the Crozet Islands.
