Founded in 2003, the cultural association Körper serves as an open space for young artists to connect in Campania. It hosts a variety of productions and creators and features special projects in collaboration with national and international entities, offering opportunities for study, training, and advanced skill development. Among its recent projects, Körper produced Glitch Project, created by two young Italian choreographers and dancers, Francesco Capuano and Nicola Picardi. Selected in February 2018 by the Anticorpi XL network of national operators as the best “urban dance” project, Glitch Project (where "glitch" means technical fault in English) is a performance for outdoor spaces aimed at creating a connection between choreography and the urban environment.
Divided into three parts, the project focuses on the hectic pace of today’s world, on a daily life infused with frustration and dissatisfaction. “We want to depict the anomaly of a typical workday,” the authors explain. “Work-related dissatisfaction often causes stress, forcing people to find a compromise with reality.”
In Visioramica, the first part, the two look out at the horizon, dreaming of escape before performing a synchronized duet in black jackets and pants, symbolizing a uniform office attire. In Loop, the second part, their movement grows more intense, aggressive, and combative. The dance becomes frenzied, with an accelerated rhythm and increasingly mechanical motions: the alienation of everyday life takes hold, as the system manipulates and dictates. The third part, titled Prank of a Blonde, offers a rare moment of pause, relaxation, and escape from the speed and frenzy.
