Teatro Zandonai
Deserts d’amour - La Grande Maison
‘Deserts d'amour’ is a creation that made its debut in Montpellier on 1 July 1984 at the ‘Festival International Montpellier Danse’. An essentially ‘musical’ choreography composed for nine dancers, it represents a score of regular movements with the meticulousness of a clockwork mechanism in constant transformation.
Dominique Bagouet's ‘La Grande Maison’ is a model of precision, humour and refinement. Bagouet tells his love story with the Theatre of Montpellier. ‘Grande Maison’ is thus the theatre, with its enmities, its farces, its characters... By living all these events, it gives us a delicate, almost childlike image of a universe full of subtle humour and tormented sensitivity... (Le quotidien de Paris).
