BACH to SACRE: Bach + Silent Ballet + Sacre

World premiere | Co-produced by Oriente Occidente

BACH to SACRE: Bach + Silent Ballet + Sacre, Emanuel Gat | ph Julia Gat

Three works intertwined by a shared poeticsBACHSilent Ballet, and Sacre: gestures are notes, movement is music. Silence is not subtraction, but a space in which music can emerge; emptiness is not a pause, but the condition that allows dance to exist. Between two or more performers on stage, gesture traverses time, chooses, and listens. Present bodies inhabit an absence that becomes generative.

[...] Salsa on top of a volcano. This wonderful and amazing mix is performed with elegancy and lust.
