This is a very strange year to plan a festival.

The plans have melted into our hands so many times that we are no longer able to count them. But now we're here: the program is online, the online ticket office is open. In September Oriente Occidente will celebrate its 40th anniversary with you. Together and safely.

Over the past few months we have been working together with companies to find the right solutions to guarantee the safety of all artists, workers, and the public; to give their work the right recognition, to respect national and provincial protocols. The solutions emerged: some of the companies will be staged with physical distancing, others will use masks, others - not being able to review their work according to the distancing - will be subjected to health surveillance to ensure negativity to COVID-19.

In the theatres the seats available will be half the normal capacity, but we will repeat the shows several times so that more spectators can participate.

We have tried to learn everything there is to know about the new rules: all staff are trained and equipped with safety devices.

We have done and continue to do everything possible to ensure that we work in safety and to guarantee that you can enjoy these days of Festival between reflection and beauty, without giving up the relationship that by definition belongs to the live show.

But we also need your responsibility and collaboration. We ask you to buy your ticket in advance - preferring the online ticket office - to allow us to organize the entrances to the performance venues, to wear the mask until you have reached your seat, to respect the distance of one meter from other people, to use the hand sanitizer you will find at each entrance, to let you measure the temperature before entering the Festival spaces.

Write us at for any doubts, clarifications or suggestions you may have.

And then… see you at the Festival.
